North To Home

Come in and visit with me for a little while. We’ll sit together and share stories about Alaska, the Gulf Coast, family, and the everyday moments that make up a life. Some are funny, some are bittersweet, and some have changed me forever. However you found your way here, I’m grateful you did. Welcome.

About Kim

Welcome. I’m Kim, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a wife, mom, grandmother, attorney, writer, and lifelong believer that the best stories are often found in ordinary moments.

My life is shared between the Gulf Coast and Alaska—two places that couldn’t be more different, yet somehow both feel like home.

Along the way I’ve discovered that home isn’t defined by a map. It’s found in early mornings with a cup of coffee, conversations around the dinner table, fishing boats leaving the harbor, long walks in the snow, on the beach, mountain views, family traditions, and the people we love.

Here you’ll find stories about travel, family, faith, food, adventure, and the little moments that remind us to slow down and pay attention. Some stories will make you smile. Others may bring a tear. All of them are true, and all of them have taught me something worth sharing.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll stay awhile, come back often, and perhaps find a piece of your own story here too.
